Claims log
21 columns for the issue, report source, ASIN/FNSKU, shipment or order, units, cost basis, expected recovery, claim window, deadline, days left, status, case ID, amount received and variance.
A claim log, deadline counter and recovery dashboard for lost, damaged, short, returned and overcharged inventory — built around Amazon's 2026 reimbursement rules.
Best for: FBA sellers who audit their inventory reports weekly and want the claim, the case and the cash in one place.
21 columns for the issue, report source, ASIN/FNSKU, shipment or order, units, cost basis, expected recovery, claim window, deadline, days left, status, case ID, amount received and variance.
The 60-day default is editable per claim. The deadline and days-left columns recalculate, and overdue claims turn red on the dashboard.
Claims tracked, open, overdue, expected, recovered, recovery rate, average days to recover, aging buckets and a claim-type breakdown.
The 2024–2026 changes, eight claim types with typical windows and evidence, the manufacturing-cost basis, the $5,000 per-unit cap and sources.
One row per claim. Delete the three example rows and add the report source and identifiers while they are still easy to find.
Use your true landed cost per unit, not the retail price. The expected recovery is units × cost basis.
Keep the 60-day default for fulfillment-center claims unless the current policy says otherwise. Record the filing date and case ID.
Enter the amount received. The variance shows the gap, and the dashboard separates expected from recovered.
It does not connect to Seller Central, file a claim, post to your ledger or give tax advice. It organizes the numbers and the evidence so the decision — or the filing — is faster and better.
Amazon cut the fulfillment-center claim window to 60 days in October 2024. Some claim types have different windows, and the policy can change, so the workbook makes the window an editable column and links to the official policy.
Since March 2025 Amazon reimburses on a manufacturing/sourcing-cost basis, not the selling price. If Amazon's estimate is below your real cost, your documentation is the difference between a fair payout and an underpayment.
No. It organises the evidence and the deadline. You still file in Seller Central and attach the report rows, invoice and identifiers.
Yes. Fee overcharge is one of the claim types, with a 90-day default and a different evidence pack.
TidyPayouts does for all your payouts what this workbook does for one.
