What the analyzer
tells you.

Amazon's settlement files pack every order, fee, refund
and adjustment into one opaque deposit number.

The breakdown

  • Gross product sales before refunds, and refunds on their own line
  • Every fee type separated: referral commissions, FBA fulfillment, returns processing, storage, advertising and other service fees
  • Marketplace-collected sales tax — collected vs. remitted this period
  • Reserve holds and releases that make deposits mysteriously smaller than your balance
  • A reconciliation check: all lines summed against the deposit total, to the penny

Where to find your report

  • Seller Central → Payments → Statement viewing
  • Pick a settlement period and choose Flat file as the format
  • Download it, then drop it straight onto the tool above — no renaming needed

One file can hold a single settlement or a whole quarter of them — the analyzer finds each one and lets you switch between them.

Is my settlement report uploaded anywhere?+

No. The file is read by your own browser and analyzed on your device. Nothing is transmitted, stored or logged — close the tab and it's gone. You can verify: open your browser's network inspector and watch how quiet it is.

Which Amazon report works with this tool?+

The settlement flat file (report type SettlementV2) — the tab-separated file with columns like settlement-id, amount-type and amount, downloaded from Payments → Statement viewing in Seller Central. PDF statements and the one-line settlement summaries aren't supported.

Why are my fees so high as a percentage of sales?+

Because they stack: referral fees (8–15% by category), FBA fulfillment, storage and advertising all come out of the same deposit. The analyzer splits every type out so you can see exactly which one is eating your margin.

What are reserves?+

Amazon holds back part of your balance in some situations (new accounts, high claim rates, risk reviews) and releases it later. A “Reserve amount” line reduces your deposit; “Reserve amount released” adds it back in a later settlement.
