Order before you
run out, not after.
Stock-outs cost sales and rank; over-ordering ties up cash. Enter your sales rate and supplier lead time to find the stock level that should trigger a reorder, how many days you have left, and how much to order.

The formula
- Safety stock = daily sales × safety buffer days.
- Reorder point = daily sales × lead time + safety stock.
- Order quantity = daily sales × (lead time + cover days) + safety stock − stock on hand and on order.
Cash matters too
A larger order lowers per-unit freight and may meet a supplier minimum, but it ties up cash that payouts will not return for weeks. Compare the order against your expected payouts before you commit.
What is a reorder point?+
The stock level at which you place a new order so it arrives before you sell out. It equals demand during the supplier lead time plus a safety buffer.
How do I choose a safety buffer?+
Base it on how variable your demand and supplier lead times are. A stable product with a reliable supplier needs less than a seasonal product with long or uncertain shipping.
Does this account for seasonality?+
No. It uses the daily sales rate you enter. For a seasonal product, enter the rate you expect during the period the stock will actually sell.
What if I have several warehouses?+
Run it once per location, or enter the combined sales rate and total stock if you can move inventory freely between them.
